Welcome to The Official Wax rarity album. These are demo of songs, bits of unfinished songs, musical meandering, live recordings and general musical flora and fauna for all you sound trainspotters out there. So, have at it.

Please make yourself familiar with the exits in case of emergency. And now, Graham and I will add some commentary to help shed some lights on the dark and murky waters we call WAX rarities.

ちょっと解説 : WAXの“オフィシャル・ブートレグ”

2000年に、Andrew Gold.Comから通販のみでリリースされた未発表曲集・第２弾。

上でブックレットのコメントを紹介したが、説明のとおり「デモ、未完成曲の断片、音楽漫談、ライブ録音、一般的音楽動植物?!」が入っている。ほぼ完成して「100％未発表曲」というものから、思いつきの録音の断片、30秒のインストまで。音質も完璧なものからヒス・ノイズの目立つデモまで多種多様。公式ブートレグといったら分かりやすいかな?

全部で31トラック、64分52秒という大サービスぶり。再結成10ccの来日公演でも演奏されたSlow Down(Aliveに収録)のWAX版ライブや、Bridge To Your Heartの初期デモも収録。ハーベイ・リズバーグ(10cc/WAXのマネージャー)の挨拶が出てきたり、いろいろアイデアを盛り込んでる。
作品としての完成度は求められないが、これはこれで楽しい。ブックレットにも、グレアム＋アンドリューの短いコメントが全曲についている。WAX好きなファンへの出欠大サービスというコンセプト。いい曲もありますよ！

2002年10月現在、Andrew Gold.ComのThe Stoteで販売中。アンドリュー直筆の宛て名書きで送られてくることも多いので、ファンの方はぜひ買いましょう。
